The lore chapters alone gave me three whole session hooks I hadn't thought of, and the new player options slot right into the campaign I'm already running. My group spent an entire night just rolling up characters from it.
My group has been using the added lore to build side quests between story beats, and it's made our sessions feel much richer. The rules and options plug in smoothly without disrupting the campaign's flow. Exactly what I wanted for a long-running game.
My group's been running Starfinder for two years and this book finally gave our GM the alien options we were missing. The lore sections are deep enough to build whole sessions around, and the new player rules slotted into our campaign without a single hiccup.
