The ritual countdown in this adventure kept my table genuinely tense for three sessions straight. Seldeg Bhedlis makes for a fantastic villain, and the two-goddess stakes gave every fight real weight.
Took my group through the first chapter last weekend and the Gravelands setting is wonderfully bleak, exactly the gothic horror vibe my table loves. The stat blocks for the graveknight encounters are brutal but fair, and my players actually cheered when we hit the cliffhanger with the two goddesses.
The ritual Seldeg Bhedlis is preparing actually made me nervous for my players, which doesn't happen often with published adventures. Running the two-goddess plotline took us three sessions and the encounters scaled well for a level 11 party.
